Chief Crafting Officer and Stitcher-in-Charge

Ms. Green

Crystal Green is a high-energy, fashion-forward educator who brings runway creativity straight into the classroom. Inspired by the legendary Ms. Frizzle, the only cartoon teacher fabulous enough to change outfits every episode. Crystal believes learning should feel bold, hands-on, and a little bit magical. While she can’t take students to the moon, she can turn every Sew Crafty class into an imaginative adventure where creativity leads the way.

Sew Crafty was born from Crystal’s love of sewing and crafting: two passions she blends into colorful, confidence-building experiences for kids. With a BFA from Columbia College Chicago, a Texas teaching certification, and fashion-world milestones like New York Fashion Week and mentoring Project Runway Juniors finalists, she brings real artistic sparkle to every lesson.

Crystal teaches with the belief that “I’m possible” is more than a quote. It’s a mindset. Her classroom encourages exploration, expression, and out-of-the-box thinking. She guides students with clear, supportive instruction while giving them room to grow as independent creators who shape the world around them instead of simply watching it.

At Sew Crafty, learning isn’t just hands-on. It’s heart-first, imagination-driven, and always infused with a little Ms. Frizzle magic. Stay connected with Sew Crafty, please follow our social media.

What I love most about Sew Crafty:

Is how Sew Crafty turns creativity into confidence, giving kids a magical space to imagine boldly, make joyfully, and discover the artist already inside them.

What Students Say...

You’ve made me learn that I make a place more valuable by stepping into it and that I don’t need to make myself smaller to make other people taller. I really love you and appreciate you for awaking the passion for fashion that had been lingering in my true self for years and helping it flourish.

Miranda

Dear Ms. Green I like the way you teach and the way you communicate with your students. I like how you know when to be serious and know when to joke. Thank you for being my fashion teacher. I love having you as a teacher.

Sherifa

Dear Ms. Green I deeply appreciate you. I’ve gained knowledge about croquis. Croquis has helped me be able to draw outfits. I also enjoyed you teaching us to sew with our hands and machines. Your dedication of your passion for fashion helps me appreciate my own love for fashion.
