Ages 14-18

Design Lead

The fashion & crafting entrepreneurship program at Sew Crafty for ages14–18 empowers teens with an advanced, project‑based experience that blends creative design with practical skill development. Participants engage in sophisticated fashion and crafting projects—designing garments, constructing accessories, experimenting with materials, upcycling furniture, and developing cohesive concepts that reflect their personal vision and technical growth.

Project Based Learning

Project: Creative Photoshoots

Each project is intentionally structured to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking, reading comprehension, and self‑confidence. Teens analyze design briefs, interpret technical instructions, conduct research, and apply written information to guide their creative decisions. Teens also practice essential entrepreneurial competencies such as project planning, budgeting, problem‑solving, and presenting their work with clarity and professionalism. These experiences foster independence, leadership, and self‑assurance as students refine their ideas from concept to completion.

We offer a variety of projects

Designed by a certified teacher, each project blends project-based learning with sewing and crafting, thoughtfully tailored to each age group to ensure age-appropriate, engaging experiences for kids and teens ages 2–18. Our projects evolve throughout the year. Check Instagram or TikTok to see what students are creating now.

These suggested session times serve as general guidelines. Project completion may vary depending on each student’s pace, creativity, and skill level—some projects may take longer, while others may be completed more quickly.

Let’s Celebrate

To celebrate their accomplishments, the program culminates in a polished student‑led showcase. Participants select one of three professional‑style presentation formats: a fashion show, a creative photo shoot, or a market‑style fair inspired by a lemonade stand concept. This final event allows teens to demonstrate their craftsmanship, communicate their design process, and share their accomplishments with peers, families, and the community.
